When Aamir Khan came to TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’, creative debate started on many basic problems in the country. Now it was a wait that the fourth season of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ will also emerge soon.

Amid this waiting, Amir Khan, along with his partner Satyajit Bhatkal, started working in the drought-hit villages of Maharashtra.
Aamir Khan told  about the fourth season of ‘Satyamev Jayate’, “I and Satyajit were thinking about the fourth season, there was a lot of discussion, after every episode of ‘Satyamev Jayate’, we can see many changes. It was inspiring for us to change the land from any program, so we thought why not work on the ground and work directly. We chose water and Maharashtra. ”

Aamir Khan told that the entire team of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ had tried research in the drought-hit villages of Maharashtra three years ago and tried to understand how water can solve the problem. Hivare Bazar and Ralegan Siddi were some such villages where there is no problem of water despite drought.
Satyamev Jayate Water Cup Competition
This is why Aamir organized the ‘Satyamev Jaiyat Water Cup’ competition. In this competition, the entire village joins the monsoon before undertaking the work of water management for 6 weeks of the month of April and May to conserve water in monsoon. Prior to the competition, some people from every village are given training which leads the villagers.

Three villages of the best work are given the ‘Satyamev Jayate Water Cup’ and cash reward.

In this campaign launched in 2016, 116 villages of Maharashtra were included. Amir Khan considers this an experiment. Out of 116 villages, about 45 villages were relieved of water problem. Last year 1000 villages were added to this competition. In this competition, in the year 2018, 75 talukas of Maharashtra are connected, with about 4000 villages.
Aamir Khan wants the urban people to join this work and do a day’s work. On May one, they are appealing on ‘Labor Day’ that people from the city come to these villages and do a day’s work.

Racism problem
Aamir Khan believed that due to this event there is unity in the villages. He says, “Racism is a big problem, but one or two people can not work for water management, which requires a whole village. The biggest obstacle in our work was to bring people together. This teaches. When the whole village joins together, the distances are erased. ”
Sharing an incident last year, Aamir Khan said, “A person named Vishnu Bhosle had come for training last year when he went to his village, he did not get along with the villagers, he met with only two elderly people. We were working on water management and we got to know that the other ray went there in the morning and we were working five people by joining them.

Aamir said, “After reaching 20-25 people of the village after listening to my name, surely no one helped. Then I and Kiran held meetings in the village temple and kept their thoughts. When I was leaving there, I realized that the village will not support Vishnu. But I was wrong. In a few days many young people got involved with this work. Today, one year later, I met Vishnu and told them that the problem of water has gone away and they earned 10 lakh on two acres of land. ”
Aamir Khan is happy that different political parties are engaged in this work and are working on their level. He is also getting full support from the Maharashtra Government.

At present, Amir Khan is confined to Maharashtra’s water problem and it will take time to reach other states. Aamir Khan, who understands the importance of water, has strict rules for water conservation, whose six year old son Azad also follows.
