Siddaramaiah has already filed nomination from Chamundeswari seat on Friday. He was first elected in 1983 from this assembly constituency of his home district of South Karnataka.

But the party high command was initially uncomfortable with his decision, but later came to see the obvious advantages of taking him from Badmakot’s Badami seat.

The party’s high command was uncomfortable to fight Chamundeswari alone, because Deve Gowda of Janta Dal (S), who is his leader and supporter, has taken an oath of defeating him.

However, after emptying the seat for his son Dr Yatindra, who won five times from Varuna, he remained determined to face the challenge of Gowda and his son HD Kumaraswamy.

Siddaramaiah himself wrote in response to a tweet made by BJP National Secretary and in charge of Karnataka Muralidhar Rao in Kannada, that he is contesting from two places.

Siddaramaiah wrote, “The leader who is liked in Karnataka is not afraid to fight anywhere in the state. People will decide my destiny on both seats, you do not worry about it. But I am happy that I have given you a tweet in Kannada Learned to do. ”

The Congress hopes to effect its impact in more than 15 constituencies spread across Bagalkot and Vijaypura districts by taking the Chief Minister’s candidate from this area.

A party leader said on condition of anonymity, “The Kuruba community (the cowboy community) comes from Siddaramaiah, they have good numbers in many constituencies of Karnataka, with at least 15 thousand votes, this figure is in Badami 65 thousand and Mudibihal more than 70 thousand. ”

Their population is spread across Belangavi, Dharwad in North Karnataka and Haverdi in North Karnataka and Davanagere in Central Karnataka.

In addition to several constituencies of South Karnataka, the voters associated with this community are also spread in Chamundeswari and Varuna of Mysore district.

BJP spokesman Dr Vaman Acharya said, “He has won from Chamundeswari because he was with HD Deve Gowda, then he was also accompanied by A. H. Viswanathan, who is now in the Janata Dal (S). We have to face our former publicity manager G.T. Deve Gowda, who have no support from different communities. ”

Dr. Acharya’s reference is about 70 thousand voters from the Vokliga community. Although Congress leaders say that Ahinda (minority, backward class, Dalit’s short form in Kannada) is united in favor of Vit Siddaramaiah, just like Vokaliga was organized in favor of Janata Dal (S).
Dr. Acharya believes that even in Badami, the Chief Minister is not in comfortable position. He dismissed the discussion in political circles that Siddharamaiah would also face strong opposition from Sriramulu, the BJP’s Valmiki tribal face in Badami.

Sriramulu is a close associate of Janardhana Reddy accused of illegal mining scam. Which was present when Sriramulu filed his nomination papers from the Maulakaluru constituency. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate BS Yeddyurappa were also present during that time.

Dr. Acharya says, “We will field local candidate (K.M. Pattanshetty) from Badami against Siddaramaiah. There is no plan to bring Yeddyurappa or Sriramulu out of Badmi, though the final decision tomorrow or one of his Days will be taken. ”

The people of the Congress believe that the Chief Minister will not have to campaign much in Badami. A senior party leader said on condition of anonymity, “He will be able to focus on the campaign in other constituencies.”
