If you have to go to that building, seeing the condition of the main gate, it will look like nobody lives here and you will return.

No guard at the gate No reception A stranger’s flag is hoisting on the roof of the house. If you go there you will feel that someone is secretly running the embassy.

When I played the last gate bell, a woman came out. He knew neither English nor Hindi Yet he said in broken English that there is no one yet.

They took my winning card. I waited for some time that someone would come. Half an hour later, a car was stuck in front of the house. By seeing the number of the car, it was a train of a diplomat.

I ran away trying to talk to them, but they did not respond and went inside the gate.

Why is this hall of North Korea’s embassy?

There is good trade relations between India and North Korea yet why is the Embassy in this condition?

Professor Vaijayanti Raghavan, professor of Korean Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, says, “How is the embassy of a country that it shows its status also.”

The relationship between North Korea and India was great in the 70’s. India and North Korea have good business relationships. ”

Raghavan said, “North Korea grew closer to Pakistan and China, India came closer to South Korea and Japan. When North Korea’s separation from the rest of the world, its relations with India also affected. ”
North Korea relations with India
Raghavan said that no diploma in North Korea is ready to talk. They said that the people there are also very scared.

If an Indian wants a North Korea visa, then he has to go to Beijing first or it is given only through the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Raghavan said that in the same way, the Indian Embassy in North Korea is not very well positioned.

Nobody wants to go as an ambassador in North Korea. After becoming the government of Narendra Modi, well-known Chinese translator Jasminder Kasturia was appointed Indian Ambassador to Pyongyang.
Jasminder’s appointment was clear that India could not appoint a senior level foreign service officer in North Korea, his first stenographer was playing the role of ambassador.

In North Korea, the position of Ambassador on behalf of India is sent to promote stenographer, assistant and reserve diplomats.

Kasturiya is from ‘Interpreter Cadre’. This cadre is a group of officers who work with the IFS officers to translate documents.

At the same time, when leaders are on a foreign trip, they go along with them as translators.

Reluctance to go to North Korea
Professor Ravi Kish, president of the Korean Study Center in JNU, says, “The reluctance of foreign service officials to go to Pyongyang shows that India’s interest is continuously declining in North Korea”.

In Raghavan’s opinion, warmth in relations with North Korea could have been beneficial for India as North Korea is a country rich in natural resources, where coal, bauxite and other mineral resources are abundant.

He said, “If we want to separate North Korea from a stronghold with China and Pakistan, it would be necessary to build a better relationship with it.”

After the economic liberalization in 1990, South Korea was one of the first to move forward in India. Since then, the tendency towards New Delhi’s Soul has become more pronounced
