As the date of assembly elections in Gujarat is coming closer, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is rolling out every major leader in the election field.

Among them are Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, Uma Bharti, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh.

Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been made the Chief Coordinator for the Gujarat assembly elections by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

‘Fear of defeat’
Sociologist Shiv Visvanathan says, “The Bharatiya Janata Party is sending several ministers to Gujarat for campaigning. The reason for this is that they are afraid of losing. Even if the Bharatiya Janata Party does not win good in Gujarat, it will be like defeat for him. ”

But the Indian public has its own logic. “The Union Minister and the Chief Minister who is coming to Gujarat, he is also a party worker,” says Doctor Harshad Patel, who is managing the party’s media cell. If elections are held in any state, then the Union minister and the chief minister go for election campaign. ”

In contrast, senior journalist Ajay Umte believes, “There have never been so many Union ministers before in Gujarat to campaign for the election. When the then prime minister Manmohan Singh came to Gujarat for campaigning in the 2007 assembly elections, the opposition had made fun of him. ”

Ajay Umte says, “Then it was said that the Congress had to take the prime minister to the ground to fight the Bharatiya Janata Party in Gujarat.”
In Gujarat Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is continuously following several rallies one by one. It has also been seen that Rahul Gandhi made any allegation in the rally on the Bhartiya Janta Party and Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman rejoined him on a press conference on the same day.

Voting will be held on December 9 and 14 in Gujarat and counting on December 18.

Elections in two phases will be done for a total of 182 seats.

In the first phase, 89 constituencies will be held on 9th December (Saturday).
